Today, I’m excited to share the second published story set within The Old Vale Mythos.

This new short story follows a wandering labourer whose life has been reduced to little more than survival. While working in a small roadside tavern, he becomes aware of something watching him from just beyond the edge of his vision. What begins as an unsettling sensation soon develops into a terrifying pattern.

This story expands the world of The Old Vale Mythos. While each story is designed to stand on its own, they all contribute pieces to a larger puzzle: a world filled with forgotten folklore, ancient entities, and mysteries.

One of my goals with this project is to slowly build a collection of interconnected horror stories that reward attentive readers. Some names, places, and warnings may seem insignificant at first, only to resurface later in unexpected ways.

Publishing a second story may seem like a small milestone, but for me it represents something important: proof that The Old Vale Mythos is no longer just an idea. It is becoming a growing body of work, one story at a time.
