The Lost Lands, Abstract Acrylic Painting by James Gale
The Lost Lands, Abstract Acrylic Painting by James Gale

Here is my most recent abstract acrylic painting, titled The Lost Lands.

This colourful piece was created without much control. The medium I used, acrylic pouring, doesn’t allow two paintings to ever be the same. Instead, you let the chaos flow and watch how the colours blend and surrender to one another.

It’s an original abstract landscape painting inspired by forgotten places, emotional isolation, and the feeling of wandering through worlds that exist somewhere between memory and imagination.

The dark layered textures and atmospheric colors create a dreamlike environment that feels ancient, distant, and emotionally unresolved. Rather than depicting a literal landscape, the painting was created to capture the sensation of searching through unfamiliar emotional terrain, a place that feels both haunting and strangely comforting.

Warm regards,
James
