Here is my most recent painting, titled ‘The Horizon of Aurex’.
I’ve always been fascinated by space. There’s something deeply comforting about the idea that there are entire worlds waiting to be explored. The thought of escaping to another planet is something all to relatable for those of us on the autism spectrum.
This painting combines my lifelong curiosity about the cosmos with my love for acrylic painting.
Aurex is a fictional planet. One born purely from imagination, suspended in a vast, endless universe. The glowing horizon suggests possibility and the darkness around it mystery.
For me, creating this piece was a small act of world-building. If we can’t travel to distant galaxies (yet), we can at least paint them.
The Horizon of Aurex is made for fellow dreamers, for space lovers, sci-fi fans, and anyone who has ever looked at the night sky and wondered what might exist just beyond reach. If you love the epic scale of worlds found in stories like Star Wars, this piece is a quiet tribute to that same sense of wonder.
Because sometimes, when reality feels limiting, the best thing you can do is create your own planet.
Warm regards,
James
