It was said,
I would find you in nature,
Long after you were gone. But the wind doesn’t speak your name,
Nor does the moon reflect your face.Although I try understanding
The compassionate sentiment,
Like how the sunrise mimics your smile,
And the stars shine like your eyes.Comparing leaves me more empty,
Because you aren’t physically
By my side.Whenever in the woods,
My thoughts do run to you,
Thinking of times I took for granted,
Wishing all of this wasn’t true.It was said,
I would find you in nature,
But mere resemblances
Leave me feeling dread.Knowing I’ll never hold you again
Or laugh at a weird thing you said.
