Us in every universe, an acrlyic painting by James Gale details two ducks walking in tall grass.

My paintings don’t always carry a deeper meaning, or serve as elaborate mirrors for mental health, identity, or the strange experience of being alive.

Sometimes they’re also about love and those small moments in life.

My latest work, Us In Every Universe, depicts two ducks standing together in a field of wildflowers. One of them has found a beautiful flower and wants nothing more than to share it with his (slightly oblivious) partner.

The painting is inspired by the countless small acts of kindness, affection, and attention that make my relationship with my partner feel like home. Not the dramatic moments we often expect, but the gentle ones we live every day.

A song belted out together.
A smile across a room.
A funny video sent for no reason other than to make you laugh.

Sometimes love is simply finding a flower and knowing exactly who you want to give it to.

Warm regards,
James
