Poem – Dissociating Thoughts

Meet me at the park,
I’ve been here dissociating.
Started staring at the sky,
And time must have passed me by.

Think I lost my thoughts,
As it all became a little too much.
Not just the people walking by,
But also that struggle again,
With the never-ending ‘Why.’

Can’t focus when it gets crowded,
Rather just not exist for a while.
Seems like this staring into nothing
Helps me get by,

And now I’m back to ranting.
Sorry, I’m taking up too much space,
I’ll go back to hiding,
Behind the empty look on my face.

Not much going on behind it,
Just trying to forget myself,
And the whole human race.
